The UJD University Library invites you to take part in webinars and training sessions organised by EBSCO. The training sessions are free of charge, but prior registration is required.
How to search for a journal title on EBSCO platforms

This training session demonstrates how to effectively search for and identify academic journals available on EBSCO platforms. Participants will learn about features such as the EBSCOhost publication list and the EBSCO Discovery Service academic search engine, including searching by title and ISSN, checking the availability of full texts, and exploring chronological ranges. The differences between searching for articles and searching for journals will also be discussed, along with practical tips on how to quickly find the required issue or article.
Stress-free bibliography – EBSCOhost in practice

During the training, participants will learn practical ways to create and manage a bibliography on the EBSCOhost platform. The training will cover citation export functions and integration with popular bibliography managers such as Zotero, Mendeley and EndNote. It will demonstrate how to correctly record, organise and use bibliographic sources in academic, dissertation and research work, saving time and avoiding citation errors.

This training session presents the most important resources available in the Business Source databases, with a particular focus on publications from the Academy of Management, INFORMS and Harvard Business Publishing. Participants will learn how to search for research articles, review articles and analytical pieces in the fields of management, economics, operations research and business strategy, as well as how to distinguish between academic and practical content (e.g. case studies or Harvard Business Review articles). We will also discuss how to filter results and make effective use of these sources in research, teaching and analytical work.

This training session presents the feature for downloading full-text e-books on the EBSCO platform. Participants will learn the terms and conditions for downloading full-text publications, the applicable limits, and how to use e-books effectively using the Thorium Reader as an example. Administrative issues related to the final roll-out of this feature to users and the customisation of download settings will also be discussed.
