Inspec with Full Text in practice – how to effectively search for literature in the field of science and technology

Participants will learn about full-text resources, specialised classification and indexing of results in areas such as physics, electrical engineering, computer science, nanotechnology and environmental sciences.
From diagnosis to decision: DynaMed as daily clinical support

Central & Eastern European Academic Source database – support for researchers of scientific literature from Central and Eastern Europe

Participants will learn about the content of the Central & Eastern European Academic Source database (containing numerous journals from Central and Eastern Europe), basic and advanced search techniques (keywords, filters, languages, countries) and how to work with results (full texts, export). The training is aimed at researchers, students and librarians working with literature from the region.
EBSCOhost in doctoral research – a tool worth knowing

The aim of the training is to help doctoral students use the EBSCOhost platform efficiently and effectively – from basic functions to advanced search strategies and research results management. We will show you how to formulate research queries, manage bibliographies, export results, use logical operators, filters and restrictions (year, document type, language). We will advise you on how to find popular journals, identify the latest articles, track citations, and build a theoretical basis for your doctoral thesis.
MEDLINE Ultimate – an essential tool for medical researchers and practitioners

The training will cover topics such as basic and advanced searching, narrowing down results, and creating clinical queries (e.g., using the PICO model).
First steps with the EBSCO platform – how to effectively search for scientific literature

The training is aimed at new students who want to learn about the capabilities of the EBSCOhost platform – one of the most important tools for searching scientific literature. During the meeting, we will show you how to create relevant queries, use filters and narrow down results to quickly find the articles and full-text publications you need. Participants will also learn how to save searches, use a personal folder, and effectively utilise the database in preparing coursework and research papers. The training is practical in nature – we will work on examples that will facilitate your first independent searches.
New features on EBSCO platforms: Citation counts, AI functionality and natural language search

The training will cover new features available on EBSCO platforms:
Citations Counts – a citation counter based on data from Scopus or EBSCO Scholarly Graph, allowing you to quickly assess the impact of a publication.
AI Insights – a feature that generates publication summaries using artificial intelligence, making it easier to quickly familiarise yourself with the content of articles.
Natural Language Search – a natural language search mode that allows you to formulate queries in colloquial language, without the need to use complex keywords or logical operators. This makes searching more intuitive and similar to conversation.
